Essex celebrated its first Social Value Award Event on 15th November at the Essex Record Office Auditorium, acknowledging suppliers' contributions to local communities, economy, and environment.
Since implementing the Social Value Policy in 2021, £99M in commitments across 135 suppliers has been included in contracts, with a almost half of this value delivered through local jobs, support for local community projects, local spend, volunteering, and environmental initiatives.
Senior Leaders from across the Council presented four awards, aligned to our Everyone’s Essex Strategy, to recognise the stand-out Social Value impacts. To learn more about their inspiring stories, please click on the slides.
