Spot placements

Essex County Council is currently not actively seeking applications from new providers to join our domiciliary spot market.

Providers are welcome to express an interest in becoming a spot provider. ECC will be in touch should a need for a new service provider arise. Please note, receipt of an expression of interest or application is not a guarantee of work with the Council.

ECC's current position is not to work with providers until they have been rated by the CQC. If you are unrated, you are welcome to express an interest however ECC will not consider your organisation until you have been rated.

Other services

In addition to the Live at Home Framework, Essex buys services which provide short term support to an adult in their own home. Further details about these services can be found in the sections below.

Short Term Support Enablement is for adults who have been assessed as requiring a period of intermediate care whilst determining their longer term support needs.  The service is designed to provide a high quality locality based intermediate care service and will combine the former Reablement at Home and Short Term Support in the Community services into a single offer.  This service is available both on discharge from hospital or from the community and is the default offer for all adults, whether new to social care or at review.  The support is provided for as long as an adult requires it, but for no longer than 6 weeks.
