The Integrated and Residential Framework which commenced 1st June 2025 operates a ranked list of providers who can deliver both respite and long term residential and nursing care to the residents of Essex.
Essex Care Search will be used to search for available rooms based on the specified distance and assessed needs of the Adult. The search will return a list of care homes in ranked order who have availability via the framework. The top three homes identified will be shared with the Adult who will be asked to express an interest in one of the homes. Service Providers will need to ensure Essex Care Search is kept updated with their current vacancies, and status of offers at all times.

Throughout the lifetime of the framework there are annual review points each calendar year where existing providers will be re ranked and the framework will be opened to allow new providers to join. Subject to these reviews the district and countywide position of each home will be refreshed.
Key Dates :
Review months: February, May, August, November, December.
PSRL Publications: June, September, December, March.
Where a review date falls on a weekend, data will be taken on the nearest working day.
