Reminder: Eliminating racism in the workplace (1)
In 2024 International Recruitment East (IRE) published practical guidance to help managers and workers:
- Recognise racism at work and understand the impact.
- Know what to do if you, a colleague, or someone you manage is affected by racism.
- Know employer responsibilities to keep people safe from racism.
- Know what to do if a service user is racist towards a worker but has limited capacity to understand the impact of their behaviour.
The guidance is published on the webpage - Ensuring the Safety of Staff. Here you will also find a FREE 20-minute eLearning module to help you follow the guidance and take the right steps to eliminate racism at work.
We continue to listen to managers and workers across the sector about how racism impacts their daily lives at home and at work and have arranged further “Eliminating racism at work” 1.5-hour webinars led by experienced trainers Abraham Eshetu and Claire Charlwood.
