You may be aware that the Supreme Court has recently issued a judgment which significantly changes the legal approach to determining whether a person is deprived of their liberty. We would encourage you to familiarise yourselves with the judgment and carefully consider the implications for your services and practice. We ask that you refer to this updated position when making any new referrals to the DoLS team.  In addition, as the change came into effect immediately from 2 June, please review any recent DoLS referrals you have made. You should consider whether, in light of this revised approach, any of these referrals may no longer be appropriate.

Mental Health Aware for AWD Providers

This introductory course raises awareness of mental health. Attendees will learn:

•       What mental health is and how to challenge stigma

•       An introduction to some common mental health issues

•       Confidence to support someone who may be experiencing mental ill health

•       Ways to look after your own mental health and support wellbeing

Two spaces per registered service.  The session will start promptly at 09:30 please arrive early to allow time for registration. Entry will not be permitted once the session has started.


Parking is free. Please register your vehicle at reception.
