Nursing placement strategy: Connecting locally to meet the recommendations of the strategy
When: Wednesday 10 September, 1pm - 3pm
Where: Online
Skills for Care in partnership with the Council of Deans of Health launched the first-ever placement strategy for social care nursing in July, marking a major step in recognising social care as a valued part of nursing education.
This online follow up event aims to bring together local social care providers, universities and colleges in the same region to explore how the recommendations of the strategy can be implemented so together we can make social care a placement of choice for all student nurses and nursing associates.
There will be regional breakout groups, Q&A session and panel questions with key stakeholders involved in nursing education and care provision.
This event is open to anyone with an interest in social care nursing placements and would be particularly useful for:
-
Universities and colleges offering nursing education programmes.
-
Nursing programme, placement (including nursing associates) and workforce leads.
-
Providers who have an interest in the nursing workforce.
-
Social care learning providers.
-
People with lived experience in social care who want to influence.
