Expect ReSPECT

St Helena hospice is offering free ReSPECT awareness sessions for care home staff, and families of residents with the aim of equipping care homes with the skills to have meaningful, holistic discussions with residents and their families about their priorities, goals, and future care plans (see attached letter and flyer for more info). This is aimed in particular at the care homes who have not participated in an accredited training programme for ReSPECT, and will provide an overview of Respect, with staff, residents and their family invited to participate.

Ageing Well at Beth Chatto

We are also offering to cover the costs for Care Home residents and staff to visit Beth Chatto Garden Centre over the summer on dates of your choosing, with the aim of supporting access to nature for older care home residents particularly those living with dementia, and their families, in a safe, disabled and dementia friendly environment.  The activity will give time for social interaction with St Helena hospice, and the opportunity for attendees to find more information about services in the last years of life, and exposure to My Care Choices Register (MCCR) sign up.
