Inclusive Communication Essex (ICE)

Inclusive Communication Essex (ICE) is committed to breaking down barriers to communication for individuals with learning disabilities, autism, and other communication challenges. As part of the Essex Learning Disability Partnership, ICE offers free, accessible services across Essex with no referral or waiting required. Services include inclusive communication training and a resource loan service featuring AAC tools, sensory stories and switch-activated toys.

ICE is a leading provider of EasyRead translations, and also offers guidance and support on how to produce accessible information. ICE also supports professionals, families, and carers through events, and tailored advice. ICE’s award-winning accessible website, which hosts over 100 signing videos, EasyRead templates, one-page profiles, and the full AAC catalogue—making it a true communication aid in your pocket. ICE empowers individuals to be heard and understood.
