From Essex Police: Reporting Signs of Exploitation in Care Settings

We need to be aware of the sign of exploitation of workers such as, but not limited to, the following:

• Exploitation of persons, including modern slavery
• Working excess hours
• Below the minimum wage payments
• Abuse of student visa schemes
• Working illegally. 

You will appreciate the risks of these points, coupled with untrained workers that are providing care for very vulnerable people in society, needs a joint up approach to help tackle the issue.
