Interim Deprivation of Liberty Practice Guidance (AGNI Judgment 2026)

New interim guidance has been published following the AGNI 2026 Supreme Court judgment. Adult Social Care providers are encouraged to review the guidance to understand Essex County Council's current interim approach while further national guidance is awaited.

Eastern Collaborative Children’s Residential Network

 

The Eastern Collaborative Children’s Residential Network (ECCRN) brings together Registered Managers and residential childcare providers from across the Eastern region to share best practice, ideas, challenges and sector updates. The network is hosted by Improvement East and supports collaboration between providers and local authorities to help improve outcomes for children.

There is also a monthly managers meet for an hour online. Each meeting focuses on a specific theme. For example, August's session will focus on recruitment, exploring workforce challenges, attracting new staff and sharing successful approaches from across the sector.
