RideLondon-Essex 2023

About the event

RideLondon-Essex, the festival of cycling, returns Sunday 28 May 2023

The RideLondon-Essex is made up of the 100 Route, 60 Route and 30 Route

Hosting the Ford RideLondon-Essex is part of Essex County Council’s Everyone’s Essex: a plan for levelling up the county that aims to help people keep fit and active and promote active travel as part of the move towards net zero.
The event will celebrate both cycling and community, and raise funds for charity. We encourage you to come out to support and cheer on the participants on the day.

2023 Ford RideLondon Classique, part of the UCI Women’s WorldTour 26, 27 & 28 May 2023

Stage One:Date: Friday 26 May 2023 - Start: Saffron Walden - Finish: Colchester
Stage Two: Date: Saturday 27 May 2023 - Start/Finish: Maldon
Stage Three: Date: Sunday 28 May 2023 Start/Finish: The Mall, central London

The RideLondon-Essex 2023 Route

The RideLondon-Essex 2023 route is the same used in 2022, entering Essex through Epping Forest and continuing through central Epping, Ongar, Leaden Roding, Great Dunmow, Felsted and Writtle, before returning to Ongar and heading back into London.

This route has been confirmed because it has the least impact on the strategic road network in the county, and includes roads wide enough to accommodate both emergency vehicles and cyclists, and offers the greatest number of access options for residents.
