Access to PPE in Essex

Introduction

Essex County Council has provision to support the care market with free PPE.  This can be ordered and collected direct from our warehouse five days a week Monday - Friday

Please note this provision is separate to the Government PPE portal which CQC registered care providers can also order from.

Ordering PPE

Essex care providers, day services, those in receipt of direct payments and those supporting the wider social care provision as referred by ECC.

If you are a CQC register provider and unsure of your CQC location ID and/or Provider ID, please check via the CQC website as you will ask for this information when completing the request form Care Quality Commission (cqc.org.uk)

There are no formal restrictions to the PPE that can be provided to you to deliver support in line with Government guidance, but please do consider your need and order an appropriate amount.

Include the form as an attachment.

A member of the team will call to discuss your request and answer any questions you may have. PPE request forms will be prioritised ahead of any general queries which could take up to 72 hours to respond to.

Please only attend the warehouse when your application for PPE has been approved.

The entrance for collecting PPE is through the Colchester Ambulance station and is located at the rear of the Colchester Ambulance station and Essex Fire Colchester workshop.
